Cold Steel Kobun

A compact fixed knife from the lightweight tactical/reserve model class, convenient to carry as part of gear or concealed under clothing. It is similar in dimensions to classic boot knives: blade length about 140 mm, overall length approximately 250 mm, blade thickness 3.2 mm, and weight around 125 g. The Cold Steel Kobun camping knife features a full-tang construction, meaning the steel core of the blade runs through the entire handle, adding strength and making the knife more durable under impact and penetration stresses.

The tanto shape offers a reinforced sharp tip and a sharp change in the edge angle, providing high penetration capability and tip strength for piercing operations and prying hard materials. Practically, Kobun is a knife for situations where stealth, readiness for quick actions, and reliability for puncturing are important: an EDC kit in the city, a reserve tactical knife as part of the equipment, emergency operations, and quick field work when a heavy blade for chopping is not needed.
