High-quality closed-type wired overhead gaming headset, complete with an external sound card for virtualization of 8-channel 7.1 surround sound. It is a further development of the successful and very popular model Corsair HS50. It is positioned as a product of the middle price category, aimed at gamers who value high-quality sound and a comfortable fit. Durable design consists of a headband (elastic steel band with a soft grip) and large, comfortable cups.

The wide ear cushions filled with memory foam material evenly distribute the pressing force without exerting excessive pressure on the ear area. This design and relatively light weight make the Corsair HS60 Surround headphones comfortable for long gaming sessions. A significant plus of this model can also be considered a good passive noise isolation, working in both directions.

Powerful 50 mm dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets guarantee high-quality sound with a bass accent characteristic of gaming models. Detachable microphone has good voice quality. With an external sound card and proprietary surround virtualization software, the headphones provide improved source positioning to help you navigate the complex and ever-changing environments of fast-paced gaming faster. Compatible with PC, Mac, smartphones and game consoles (Xbox One, PS4).

Quality for three pennies

Over the years of testing, we have had many gaming accessories from Corsair in our hands, and in 99% they were made to last, regardless of the price tag. The new HS60 Surround gaming headset with an external sound card confirms this rule again: it looks like a rather expensive premium headphone, although it costs a mere $70. The model is decorated in dark black tones with a minimalist design and attracts attention with a massive embroidered lining on the headboard.

Durable and comfortable headband with memory function

It's especially cool that despite its gaming nature, the headset is similar to expensive professional headphones, in which you are not ashamed to go out without fear of passing for a city madman. Still, colorful and gaming headphones with flashing lights are absolutely not intended for public appearance. In this case, it is equally important that the headphones have a sturdy construction with a metal plate in the headband and a great fit on the head. They are very light, but sit securely and do not strive to fly off when making a sharp turn. Plus the lining has a memory function.

Versatile sound for games and music

In terms of sound, the Corsair HS60 Surround deserves no less praise. Firstly, it sounds at the level of headphones for 100 dollars, giving out a dynamic, balanced and detailed sound without distortions in frequencies or parasitic overtones. Secondly, the headphones turned out to be omnivorous, coping equally well with music and games. In the latter case, a small sound card will come in handy, which is connected via USB and creates a virtual multi-channel sound at the hardware level. It turns out many times more accurate and pleasant than a simple simulation of multi-channel sound in a conventional sound card. The picture is completed by a package of rather convenient software with the ability to create sound profiles for specific games. And this is very useful, since the basses out of the box are not twisted to the maximum here, like typical gaming headsets.
