Gaming headset by Razer, designed in an over-ear closed-back format with adjustable headband and passive noise isolation. The model belongs to the mid-price segment and is an upgraded version of the Razer Barracuda 2022 headset. Its main feature is the support for a wide variety of gaming devices (PCs, smartphones, PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, etc.), as well as the Smart Switch function that allows the headset to instantly switch between several connected devices.
To facilitate this, the model provides all popular types of connections — Bluetooth v5.2, 2.4 GHz radio channel, 3.5mm mini-jack, and a pair of USB-C - USB-A adapters. Razer Barracuda X 2022 can be described as an ergonomic headset: the adjustable headband with a soft padding ensures a snug fit, Flowknit fabric ear cushions are well-ventilated and have a memory effect, and the total weight of the structure is just 250 grams.
Thanks to the use of next-generation Razer Triforce dynamic drivers with a special metal diaphragm and neodymium magnets, the headset is perfectly suitable for any esports disciplines and a broad range of single-player games that require swift reactions. For voice transmission, the device is equipped with a hypercardioid microphone on a flexible arm supporting digital noise suppression and proprietary HyperClear Mic technology. The headset’s battery life is 50 hours. In the mobile app Razer Audio, you can customize the sound with an equalizer, enable virtual sound (note: works only on PCs), remap the functions of physical buttons, update the firmware, or check the battery charge.

Regarding the bass: to get it, you need to download the brand's app and adjust the frequency sliders, as there is no toggle to enhance the bass. This means that on PS5/Xbox, you will not have bass (though very few need it there, as audio clarity is more important, which is good here). Microphone: it's hard to say whether it's a plus or minus, because in reviews (if memory serves) it's good, but in personal use, it turned out to be worse, though not bad.
