The 24 TDR family utilises AIRDRIVE Design and is still built upon an aluminium body, so the drive and pinion stay perfectly aligned when rotating under stress. This combined with Digigear II and 7BB delivers a superior level of smoothness throughout. Offering an absolute first in match and feeder reels is the ultra-secure, wind on the handle that is still one-touch folding. This ensures direct transmission through to the drive gear, delivering maximum power. Power and smoothness also comes from the AIRDRIVE Rotor and AIRDRIVE Bail. The rotor's advanced spherical shape perfectly displaces load and the lighter but rigid Zaion V material makes sure it gets moving with minimum lag, so the reel winding responsiveness is now even higher. In addition, the weight saving from the AIRDRIVE Rotor also see the 24TDR reels weighing up to 25g less than the recent predecessor.
