How to choose a power supply for a PCBasics of choosing a reliable and balanced power supply for your home, office and gaming computer
Model overview based on user reviews
The Deepcool Nova Nova series, including models like the DN500 and DN650, is generally appreciated for its affordable pricing and reliable performance. Users have noted that these power supplies are quiet under normal loads and come with long cables, making them suitable for various setups. However, some reviews mention issues such as noisy fans and choke noise, particularly under heavy loads. There are also occasional concerns about defective units, such as missing pins or overload protection triggering unexpectedly. Despite these drawbacks, many users find the power supplies to be a good value for money, especially for budget-conscious buyers. The DN650, in particular, is highlighted for its ability to handle demanding setups without voltage drops, although some users have experienced minor issues with cable braiding. Overall, the Deepcool Nova Nova series is recommended for those looking for a cost-effective power supply with decent performance.

Well, since there are more pluses, that one can hold tension and can probably be recommended.

I bought this power supply because the first time I decided that it was not important. And he got hurt. I bought it and still have not found any problems. I also read about the fact that the fan creaks, but I did not find such a drawback in myself. If you already found it, a drop of oil. I want to note that for the sake of interest, I watched the voltage through the program during the stress test of the video card. I didn't find any drawdowns. What is very important in the block. And yes, I want to note that I only had a braid for 12v, all the other cables were just ties. It's not a problem, but it's a shame
I did not detect any voltage drops. The wires, in my opinion, are long enough for everything. And I would probably note that it is silent without serious load.
Of the minuses, I can only add that my store is on me, I did not receive all the braided wires completely, check if this is important to you
Skid- elsuse Deepcool DN650 few months
Normal power supply (it would be better to take a DA 500W, although perhaps it would be worse..)

The inductors are noisy when idle, under load everything is fine, the fan is crappy (noisy) and noticeably not ordinary SATA cables for DN 500 V2.
OEM Manufacturer CWT + Seems to be well assembled (but I’m not sure, I’m not sure)
Noisy fan + noisy throttle + strange SATA power cable (I have DN 500 V2)

80 Plus

The Deepcool DN500 power supply belongs to the Nova series, has an output power of 500 W and differs from devices of this brand in compliance with the 80 Plus certificate and promises an average of 85% efficiency. Priced at just under $40, it looks good, boasts stable voltage under heavy load, low ripple, moderate noise, and could easily fit into a mid-range gaming system with a small amount of drives.

Nothing extra

Then what's the catch and why is it so cheap? It has no backlight, no cool software for working with revolutions and control from a mobile phone, the cables here are not modular, the most ordinary ones, there is no braid or colour scheme of the same type. But, if you do not look at the decorative components, then the piece of iron will suit you in all respects — it is quite quiet even at peak load and gives out exactly what is stated on the box. In addition, the manufacturer is so confident in the quality that he gives a five-year warranty on his product. Although for low-cost power supplies, the standard is 2 to 3 years.

The cables would be longer

In comparison to this, the length of the cables leaves much to be desired, setting a limit on the use of cases with the bottom position of the power supply. But with conventional m-ATX or Mini-ITX, there should not be such problems.
