Affordable Professional Standard
The Digitus DN-170130 1000 VA UPS is suitable for home, office, and commercial use thanks to its extended feature set. The device protects connected equipment against short circuits, overloads, overheating, deep battery discharge, and overcharging, and also monitors fan operation. USB-B and RS232 interfaces are provided for monitoring and control. Remote network monitoring can be arranged after installing an additional module in the SmartSlot. Through RJ-45 ports, the UPS also provides protection for network equipment, which may be useful in offices, server rooms, and other sites with extensive network infrastructure. For use in remote areas, an emergency shutdown connector is provided, allowing the system to be powered down in case of fire, flooding, and other emergencies. At the same time, the basic feature set will be more than sufficient for regular home use.
Optimal Load
The model is designed to connect loads with a power rating of up to 1000 W and remains operational at input voltages ranging from 110 to 300 V. Inverter conversion provides a pure sine wave output, making the UPS suitable for sensitive electronics as well. If mains power is lost, power is instantly switched to the built-in batteries, helping prevent sudden equipment shutdowns and loss of unsaved data. At a load of around 50%, the declared runtime reaches 11 minutes. “Cold start” is also supported, allowing connected devices to be switched on without mains voltage. To increase runtime, a high-capacity external battery can be connected, while the charging current is 2 A. Among the features to consider for home use is the noticeable cooling system noise: at maximum fan speed, it can reach 50 dB.
