The compact model by Dreame is designed in a 2-in-1 format, combining the functions of drying and styling in a portable body with an unconventional foldable design. The device unfolds 180 degrees and can take on 3 different forms, allowing for compact storage when fully folded. Weighing only 300 g, the hairdryer is significantly lighter than standard models and fits even in a makeup bag—making it convenient to take on travels and business trips.
The set includes a travel bag to protect the device during transportation. With 1300W power and a high-speed motor rotating up to 110,000 rpm, it creates an airflow speed of up to 70 m/s. The 6-layer noise reduction technology reduces the noise level to a comfortable 60 dB. The ionization system generates 300 million negative ions every second, eliminating static electricity and retaining moisture within the cuticle.
The NTC sensor-based control system conducts 300 checks per second, monitoring minor temperature fluctuations. The microprocessor prevents spot overheating that can damage strands. Dreame Pocket offers 5 operating modes, switchable with one press: cold air up to 25 °C, warm air up to 57 °C, hot air up to 85 °C, a mode for cyclic cold/hot air delivery, and an instant cold air mode.
Two airflow speeds are available, including a turbo mode with increased heat and speed. The set includes two straight nozzles with the Coanda effect, where the strand curls around the curler under air pressure to form a neat curl, and a uniquely shaped attachment for detangling and smoothing hair. A nice model, it dries excellently for its size. It can be used at home or taken with you on trips. The warm air heats up so that hair can be dried in 10 seconds, which is a big plus in my opinion, but for someone it may seem too hot. The only thing I didn't really like is that the cable coming out of the hairdryer needs to be bent to fit into the bag; they could have made it a bit larger, as the cable might get damaged over time, but I will believe that everything will be fine with it. For its price, this hairdryer is probably one of the best options you can find. If you decide to buy it as a gift, it will be a wonderful choice. Dries well. Compact and there is a bag where it can be stored. The part of the cable that comes out of the hairdryer needs to be bent to fit into the bag, and the warm air setting can be a bit too hot for some people.  Artem: use Dreame Pocket few months |
Original Design
Dreame confidently asserts that Pocket changes the conventional perception of what a hairdryer can be — and it's hard to disagree. Firstly, it's a full-fledged hairdryer that, thanks to interchangeable attachments, turns into a styler, allowing you to both dry and style your hair with one device. Secondly, the manufacturer didn't replicate the solutions of Dyson multi-stylers and their analogs but instead created its own unconventional design. The body is visually divided into two parts, with the top head folding in three positions: at a 90-degree angle for drying, raised vertically for styling, or lowered — in this position the device becomes more compact, easily fits in a bag, and is convenient for travel. The light weight of 300 g also simplifies transport.
However, Dreame Pocket should not be confused with typical travel hairdryers, which often fall short in power and functionality. Inside the compact body hides a high-performance motor, developing up to 110,000 revolutions per minute and creating a powerful airflow. As a result, the hairdryer quickly dries hair of any length. Additionally, the 6-layer noise reduction system lowers the noise level to a comfortable 60 dB. The only minor downside could be considered the relatively short cord — 1.5 m.
5 Temperature Settings and Heating Control
The model's capabilities are quite comparable to professional hairdryers and multi-stylers. In addition to two airflow speeds, there are 5 temperature settings: cold (up to 25 °C), warm (up to 57 °C), hot (up to 85 °C), instant cold shot, and a combined hot and cold air mode for gentler drying. The NTC technology with sensors continuously monitors the temperature, tracks any fluctuations, and adjusts heating. The ionization system reduces hair static and helps maintain their natural shine.
Hairdryer and Styler in One Body
The device's functionality is expanded by two attachments included in the package. The smoothing attachment does not completely straighten hair but only reduces frizziness. The curling attachment works based on the Coanda effect: under the action of the airflow, a strand automatically curls and forms a neat curl. Initially, such an unusual construction might require some practice. An additional pleasant bonus is the travel bag that comes with it.
