+++++++++++ The first 1500 km was a howl to tears! After buying, at first, I just wanted to cry((( 67db on the info label and a howl at all 167db((( It's a bit stiff, given that I took size 225 55 17 instead of 215 55 17 that is, 0.5 cm wider and 0.5 cm higher than standard... Honestly, thoughts of urgent selling crossed my mind... As it got a bit warmer and after 1000 km of break-in, the tires began to quiet down and become perfect on the go. Because, despite the aforementioned few shortcomings - the tires grip the asphalt dead tight!!! Now the tires have gone 2300 km and there are no more questions left... Further in comments: use Dunlop Sport Maxx RT month or more i recommend it should buy |
Arriving to pick up the tires of this model, I was unpleasantly surprised that in the size 205/55/16 the tread pattern is completely different. In dry weather, I basically liked the tires, now I just need to try them in the rain. Smooth ride: it eats up small bumps and smooths out large ones.
After 1500km of break-in, it quieted down and only whispers on rough asphalt.
+ The weight of the tire is significantly less for the same size.
For example: size 215 55 17 Kumho KU31 with 30-40% tread remaining weighs 10.2kg
While a new Dunlop MAXX RT 225 55 17 weighs exactly the same 10.2kg
Accordingly, with the same size, the tire will weigh 1-2kg less than competitors.
The tires were weighed on truthful scales at "Nova Poshta"
As is known, reducing unsprung weight increases ride smoothness and suspension lifespan, as a lighter wheel is easier for the shock absorber to handle.
