I was looking for a hinged lamp specifically with a clamp, and I got this one on a friend's recommendation and overall I'm satisfied. I've been using it for over a year and everything is ok. I chose a hinged lamp with a clamp so that I could attach it to a table and it wouldn't take up space with a base, and the hinge allows me to bend it in any desired position, like lowering it very close to the table for detailed work such as soldering or working inside a computer. The clamp is made of durable plastic, and it needs to be adjusted every 2-3 months because it tends to loosen. Of course, you can tighten it permanently, but I don't want to risk it since it's plastic. The arm itself is made of metal with springs, which seem to hold firmly. I immediately installed a small LED bulb and forgot about it, as the socket is ceramic. The switch, however, is quite far from the lamp itself, as they oddly decided to place it closer to the outlet. It's unclear why they chose this design; it would have been better to have a button on the arm. The lamp stands firmly on the table and does not wobble if you don't pull on the arm. The lamp is metal and strong, the cartridge is made of ceramics, all this inspires confidence. But the plastic mount is a little embarrassing, it seems to be strong, but it’s still scary to pinch it and get a crack. In general, it stays on the table confidently, does not hang out.
