Band saw for DIY

The Einhell Classic TC-SB 200/1 is an inexpensive home-grade machine for simple sawing and nesting jobs. With it, despite the claimed cutting depth of 80 mm, it is best to cut not too thick parts made of wood and sheet plastic with a minimum feed. Although the motor power is only 250 W (which is a small value even by the standards of DIY machines), the machine has a high belt speed (900 m / min), and in this indicator it can outperform more expensive equipment. The high speed of the saw blade gives a very clean cut (when using quality blades). But at the same time, do not forget that a band saw does not cut as cleanly as a jigsaw, and as fast as a circular saw.

Looking closely at the machine, it is worth making allowances for its low price. Therefore, you will not be surprised either by a stamped desktop (for more expensive models, tables are cast from aluminium or cast iron), or by the absence of an angular stop, without which there are difficulties with the conveyor feed for sawing at different angles. Also, do not forget that Einhell saws are far from professional tools. Therefore, during operation, a simple rule should be observed: we work for 15 minutes, we rest for 10 minutes.

Note to amateur craftsman

Saws such as the Einhell Classic TC-SB 200/1 may seem like a "toy" to some. But in fact, this is a good bench band saw that you can buy at a reasonable price. This saw is a great option for woodworking as a weekend hobby in a small workshop set up in a garage or shed.
