Automatic Filament Feed Module
The main feature of the model is the built-in automatic filament feed system, allowing the combination of various colors or types of 3D plastic within a single project. The choice of a specific spool is made in the settings before starting to print. Device operation is carried out via a 4.3-inch touchscreen.
Core XY Kinematics
The printer is built on the popular Core XY scheme, where the print head moves along the X and Y axes, and the worktable along the Z-axis. The design is complemented by an automatic platform leveling function. Printing speeds reach 600 mm/s, allowing for quick creation of finished models and prototypes. The only nuance is the relatively small working area size of 220×220×220 mm.
Upgrade Possibility
Flashforge AD5 supports a wide range of filaments, including PLA, PETG, TPU, and elastomeric materials. Additionally, the device has the potential for further upgrades through proprietary modifications. For example, it can be converted into a closed system, which expands the list of supported materials for 3D printing.
