ITrack Solo requires a power source to operate. When you use iTrack Solo with an iPad, it will not draw power from the iPad through the Device-Link cable. Use the included USB cable to connect iTrack Solo to a standard Apple USB power source (or other standard USB power source). An Apple USB power adapter is included with every iOS device or can be purchased separately. You can press the 48V button to check if the iTrack Solo has power - the red light should come on. The USB LED on the front lights up when the iTrack Solo is turned on and connected to the iPad. When connected this way, iTrack Solo will not charge the iPad's internal battery. To connect iOS devices, the included iPad Device Link cable must be connected to the DEVICE LINK port on the back of the iTrack Solo and your iPad. This cable will transfer audio between the recording app on your iPad and iTrack Solo in both directions.
