Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 235/55R17 103H XL 533157

For superlative all-year-round performance we recommend Goodyear's Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 tyre. It is designed for high-perf... moreormance vehicles. In tests, it ranks extremely well against the competition, giving a genuine all-season level of performance that is consistent throughout the year. It handles heavy rain and slush exceptionally well, reducing braking time by on wet roads. It is similarly effective in snow, giving smoother handling, better traction grip and braking distances that are shorter. In the summer it drives perfectly in hot and dry conditions, thanks to its special compound which adapts to all weather. - Fuel efficiency B-D - Wet grip rating B-D - External noise rating A-B

Model overview based on user reviews
The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tires offer a mixed performance, with notable strengths and weaknesses. They are praised for their quiet operation and good road handling, especially in rainy conditions, making them suitable for regions with mild winters. However, their performance significantly declines in harsher winter conditions, where they behave more like summer tires, leading to increased braking distances and skidding on ice and snow. Users have reported that these tires are not ideal for severe winter climates, such as those found in St. Petersburg, and recommend switching to winter-specific tires for safety. Additionally, there are concerns about their durability, as one user experienced a tire burst on the highway. Overall, while they perform well in spring, summer, and autumn, they are not recommended for use in severe winter conditions.

a model with serious flaws

I drove these tires for 3 years (195/65/R15). In the summer it is good, does not make noise, good handling, good braking, average wear resistance. True, I pump it up to 2.8 bar and it flexes a lot, it’s very thin and light. But in winter it’s complete crap, driving is dangerous. My garage is in a ravine; in winter, I only leave the ravine when accelerating. After stopping at a traffic light, I have difficulty starting, it slips a lot. During emergency braking on ice, even at low speed, I sometimes steered the car onto the side of the road into a snowdrift. I had to switch to winter Rosava in winter, the difference is colossal. In winter I leave the same ravine on Rosava calmly in 1st gear.
Doesn't make noise.
Can only be used in summer. Not suitable for winter at all.

It can be used as an all-season one for latitudes with mild winters.

Double sensations from the tires. On the one hand, for the St. Petersburg winter when rain gradually changes to snow and back. The tires fit well, but at minus below -5 and a slight snowfall, the tire turns into a summer one. That is, it does not slow down, grinds, skids. Tires are indeed all-season, but only if these seasons are somewhere in Germany or northern France. I kept them for myself as spring, summer, autumn. Again, purely by St. Petersburg standards, when spring and autumn mean snow-rain-fog-hail-crap in the air, on the road, in the yards! Slush in one word. This is where the tire works well. The water is drained and the road is maintained. It rows very well on the ground. But in this winter, these tires let me down several times. At minus -5, the braking distance increases significantly. more gray hairs! ))) For the winter, I still change my shoes to spikes. Safer. In the summer, when it’s already above +20, the tires are clearly a bit soft. When they wear out, I probably won’t take it again. All the same, these tires are not for our winter!
Steadily holds the road in the rain. Quite quiet.
Not for our winter. On a well-worn snowy road, they grind and brake like summer ones.
