Gorenje BN1000 is a fitness blender designed primarily for people who lead a healthy lifestyle and eat right. It can help you make protein shakes, smoothies, vegan cereals and seeds, nut butters, and more. In addition, you can prepare fruit and vegetable purees and milkshakes for children. The device will cope even with ice and frozen ingredients, but it is not intended for hot products.
At the same time, the device is compact, so it does not take up much space in the kitchen. All thanks to small bowls that are designed for drinks for one or two people. Therefore, if you are going to cook large volumes, it is better to choose a model with a larger bowl.
A set for all occasions
The blender has an impressive package: stainless steel knives for different products, plastic bowls of different sizes and several lids. First of all, this is a knife with six blades, which is designed for making smoothies and cocktails. It perfectly grinds fruits and vegetables of any hardness, their skins, seeds (flax, chia, etc.) and not too hard grains (for example, kiwi). Paired with it is a nozzle with two knives for grinding hard dry products: coffee beans, nuts or sugar. With the first knife, they usually use the main bowl with a volume of 1 liter, with the second — a smaller bowl, as the manufacturer advises loading a maximum of 120 g of ground products. Also included are two lids: a regular one for storage and a travel lid with a hole for drinking. As a result, a shaker with a drink can be taken with you to training, school or the road.
Power
Despite the small dimensions, a high-power motor is hidden inside — 1000 W, which provides up to 20K revolutions per minute. But with high-speed modes, we decided not to bother. There are two of them — low and high, as well as an additional pulse mode to use the maximum speed, but only for a few seconds. The control is simple and clear, there is an indication for highlighting the selected mode.
But the operating time is minimal, otherwise the device may overheat and emit an unpleasant smell of burning. When working with liquid, run the blender for a maximum of 1 minute, then allow the same amount of time to cool. For dry ingredients (grinders) the maximum operating time is 30 seconds and it takes 5 minutes to cool down. Therefore, it may take 5 to 10 minutes to prepare complex cocktails from numerous ingredients. There is also no timer, so you have to keep track of the time yourself.
