Harman Kardon HKTS 65

The American manufacturer Harman Kardon implemented the highest standards of sound reproduction quality in the HKTS 65 speaker system, which, of course, could not but affect its cost. For a set of 5.1, you will have to pay about $ 850. Let's see if it's worth it?

Beautiful and stylish

At first glance, the satellites delight with their stately beauty: 30-centimeter-high black cabinets tapering at the back are mounted on a stylish stand. Three speakers with cones of the same diameter are visible through the translucent grills. The subwoofer (35x27x27 cm) on conical legs and the centre channel (11x27x9 cm) look no less impressive.

Connectivity

Harman engineers have designed the HKTS 65 to be used both standalone and paired with 10-150W receivers.

Complete with all the necessary cables and mounting brackets, it can be conveniently placed almost anywhere in the living room.

Heaven for film buffs

For a clear and dynamic sound in the range of 45 – 20,000 Hz, the following are responsible: an inch shielded CMMD Lite tweeter, a pair of 3-inch mid-woofers in the satellites and the centre channel and a powerful 200-watt 8-inch woofer aimed at the floor for a richer bass transmission. BassBoost, phase and power switches are provided on the back of the subwoofer to adjust the sound.

2.5-way crossovers provide a smooth frequency transition, ensuring soundstage fidelity. For those who don't have enough detail, they can expand the system to 7.1 by adding a couple more satellites and branded HTFS 3 racks.

Of course, Harman Kardon HKTS 65 is not cheap, like all products of the brand. But the price is more than offset by the look, sound, connectivity, setup and placement. An excellent, and most importantly, timeless home theater solution since 2013.
