A thin tablet with a large-caliber screen that stretches diagonally across 12.1 inches. The display broadcasts images in a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 pixels and boasts a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It is also certified for safe levels of blue light emission and no flickering (TÜV Rheinland). To match the high-quality screen, the tablet has high-performance hardware. The model debuted an eight-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor - the device was the first to receive such a chipset among other tablets.

There is 8 GB of RAM, the built-in data storage has a capacity of 256 GB. Honor Pad 9 256GB / 8GB works in Wi-Fi networks and is not equipped with an LTE / 5G module. Of note, the tablet has as many as eight stereo speakers. The cameras in the device are ordinary: 13 MP at the back and 8 MP in front. Inside the metal case is a battery with a capacity of 8300 mAh with support for fast 33-watt charging via a wire (via a USB type C connector).
