Frame. The body of the phone is made of a solid block of aluminium with plastic inserts on the back panel, which makes the device not only durable, but also quite light. The lower part of the case is slightly curved, which adds a certain zest to the design of the device.

Control. There are only 4 buttons on the front panel of HTC Legend: menu, return to the main screen, "Back" and "Search" buttons. The main control of all functions is carried out using a wide touch screen. There are no buttons for accepting and canceling a call — these functions are implemented through touch buttons that appear during a call. At the bottom of the front panel is an optical trackball that works like a joystick. In order to use it comfortably, you will have to practice for some time. At the top of the smartphone is a small lock button.

Software. The phone's operating system — Android 2.1 — uses the HTC Sense interface, which makes working with the device intuitive. A distinctive feature of the HTC Legend software is the ease of customization for the needs of each user. Extensive personalization options allow you to fill the phone with the necessary interface elements (widgets). A constantly updated catalog of widgets makes it possible to constantly add something new. HTC Legend has easy integration with most existing social networks.

Memory. The built-in memory of the smartphone (512MB) allows you to store about 400 MP3 songs or more than 1000 photos. In addition, the amount of memory can be significantly expanded with the help of memory cards — HTC Legend supports the micro SD format and the maximum allowable volume is 32 GB.

Internet. Internet connection is possible via GPRS networks (speed up to 114 Kbps). EDGE (up to 560 Kbps) and Wi-Fi. In addition, the device supports networks of the 3rd generation (3G), with a maximum data reception rate of up to 7.2 Mbps, and transmission — up to 2 Mbps. Using the USB connector located on the bottom, or Bluetooth wireless interface, the smartphone connects to a computer and can be used as a modem.

Multimedia. Thanks to the wide screen, HTC Legend is very convenient for viewing photos and videos (formats 3gp, 3g2, mp4, wmv). The media player supports all the most common audio formats (aac, amr, ogg, m4a, mid, mp3, wav, wma), and a standard 3.5 mm jack on the top of the HTC Legend allows you to connect headphones. The device has a built-in FM radio. The playback volume is adjusted using a thin key located on the left side panel.

Camera. Digital 5-megapixel camera with built-in auto-focus function and the ability to use flash, allows you to take high-quality photos and record videos in 3gp format. It is possible to take wide-angle pictures and automatically assign GPS coordinates to each photo.

Battery. Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh, allows you to continuously talk on the phone for 490 minutes. And in standby mode, charging lasts up to 440 hours.

Additional features. The intelligent system automatically lowers the ringer volume when the built-in sensor detects that the phone has begun to move. The call is completely silenced if the device is turned upside down. To save information such as SMS/MMS messages, bookmarks, settings and Wi-Fi passwords, the smartphone automatically creates a backup copy and stores it in the micro SD card memory. Using the built-in GPS receiver and support for Google Maps, the smartphone allows you to determine your location on the map or get directions to the desired object.
