Three models of TWS headphones were delegated to the CES-2022 exhibition from the JBL audio brand at once: Reflect Aero, LIVE Free 2 and LIVE Pro 2. They have plus or minus the same cost and sound quality. What stands out from the trio, however, is the LIVE Free 2, which won the CES Innovation Awards.
Adaptive noise reduction
The headphones are made in a compact form factor without legs, but are equipped with rather large 10mm drivers. The most tidbit in the characteristics of the model is the adaptive “noise reduction” True Adaptive NC and support for the Smart Ambient transparency mode. Sextet of microphones
To ensure excellent speech audibility during calls, the headphones were equipped with six microphones, which are also used by the aforementioned "noise reduction". By commands through the micro, the user has the right to communicate with virtual assistants on the smartphone Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The controls directly on the individual headphones are represented by sensitive touch pads.
Offline work
JBL Live Free 2 is IPX5 water resistant. Without recharging, the headphones work for about 7 hours. In general, the charging case provides up to 28 hours of battery life for TWS-ears. Finally, to fine-tune the sound, listeners can “tweak” the sliders in the proprietary JBL Headphones application, which is available for both Apple smartphones and Android mobile devices.
