A set of "elite" pliers and wire cutters for an electrician

The KNIPEX 002012 tool set is designed to work with various cables and wires: power, telephone, control, etc. It includes three items: small pliers, side cutters and long nose pliers. This set is sufficient for basic tasks such as cutting wire, bending strands, gripping and holding small parts. All KNIPEX dielectric tools comply with the requirements and regulations of VDE (industrial standard for electrical engineering). The pliers and cutters from this set can be used to service networks and installations that are energized up to 1000 V.

Dielectric tools from a legendary manufacturer

It was the pliers and wire cutters that made KNIPEX famous. All of them from the moment the company was founded (in 1882) to this day are produced at a single factory in Germany. Perhaps this is the reason for their high quality. All tools of this brand (including those included in the KNIPEX 002012 set) are made from top-class materials. To ensure reliability and durability, pliers and wire cutters are oil-hardened. Chrome plated protects the metal from corrosion. Proper sharpening guarantees a long service life of the cutting edges. Two-component handles are made using polyamide, which provides the dielectric properties of the tool. The handles have strong protrusions that prevent fingers from slipping. The tool is packed in a lodgement, which can be put into boxes and bags.

The KNIPEX 002012 set is a bit pricey. Not every electrician will decide to buy a tool for everyday use at such a price, despite its high quality (but everyone would like to receive such a set as a gift). It should also be noted that there is not a single dielectric screwdriver in the set, without which electricians and installers are without hands.
