Compatibility is limited to specific series — IdeaPad Flex 5 in 14 and 16-inch versions of the 2022 generation, as well as the Yoga 6 and Yoga 7 lines with 13, 14, and 16-inch diagonals, making it necessary to check the device model before purchase.

The manufacturer reworked three key design elements compared to the original: a plastic front cap was added to improve balance and the feel of holding while writing, the tip is made of elastomer to enhance positioning accuracy and provide tactile feedback akin to writing with a regular pen on paper, and the battery capacity was doubled compared to its predecessor. Its practical use covers creating handwritten notes in digital notebooks, signing documents with an electronic signature, editing photos with precise detailing, and freehand sketching.

The Lenovo Digital Pen 2 detects up to 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, which ensures a gradation of line thickness depending on the intensity of contact with the screen — a light touch creates a fine stroke, and strong pressure gives a rich, broad line, expanding expressive possibilities for artistic work. Two side buttons can be programmed for quick access to frequently used functions like switching tools or undoing the last action. With a diameter of 9.5 mm and a length of 140 mm, the pen weighs 17.3 grams, providing a comfortable grip without wrist fatigue during extended note-taking or creative sessions.
