 | Outdated Product A model of "blue bloods" from the kind of top-end TVs using NanoCell nanocrystal technology. The quality of the broadcast image LG 55SM9800 is almost not inferior to the flagship OLED-panels, demonstrating a lively and realistic picture with a rich palette of colours. The basis of the TV panel is a ten-bit IPS-type matrix with a diagonal size of 55". The frame rate on it is 120 Hz, and the display is also “brought up” with support for all common specifications for HDR technology. The image is processed by a high-performance second-generation LG α7 processor. Commands to the TV are given from the Magic Remote, which is equipped with a gyroscope and a built-in microphone for the viewer to interact with the voice assistants Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The model supports AirPlay 2, Mira...cast, DLNA technologies, and in terms of “smart” functions, the homebrew webOS 4.5 system runs the TV. I spent a long time choosing. Sony and Samsung had many drawbacks based on reviews, which led me to exclude them from consideration. Sony experiences freezes and doesn't handle 4k HDR as well. Samsung no longer supports DTS and avi. Samsung also struggles with IP-TV support. That's why I chose LG. So far, the choice has paid off.
