Model overview based on user reviews
The Makita 4351CT electric jigsaw is a powerful and efficient tool, boasting a 720 W motor that delivers impressive cutting speed, comparable to a circular saw. It effectively handles radial cuts on materials like beech and oak, and its mushroom-shaped handle offers unexpected comfort and convenience. The jigsaw features a cast sole with a plastic casing, enhancing its durability. While it performs well, users note that it tends to heat up during prolonged use, especially in warm conditions. The jigsaw is optimal for cuts between 20-40mm, as the blade may wander with thicker materials. The vacuum cleaner connection is functional but could be improved, as the hose sometimes disconnects. Overall, the Makita 4351CT is a reliable workhorse, offering excellent value for its price, particularly for home or warehouse use.
Pros

Cons

The grip is comfortable, there is enough power, the sole is cast, there is a pendulum - it's a workhorse
6 October 2024
Last year I got it for a good discount, around 5.5k. It is used at home or in the warehouse, and there's no professional usage involved. 720 watts for this price from Makita is a good deal.
As an example: it splits half of a pallet board 18mm thick, 120/2 cm in length, in about 10-15 seconds with Bosch Progressor blades at maximum pendulum mode.
Cutting speed - at max pendulum stroke, cuts boards no worse than a circular saw. 720 watts after all. Radial cuts 20 mm beech, oak - satisfied. Cast sole, with plastic casing - also a plus. Mushroom-shaped handle - at first I was skeptical, since I never used it, the next one I will buy only with such a handle - really convenient. Add to this the price at which I bought it - a normal hard worker.
It heats up, during prolonged work of about 2 hours in the summer in the shade it still noticeably warms, everything warms up, but subjectively this one more, possibly due to the mushroom-like design. But used the jigsaw almost non-stop all summer. Cuts 100mm timber, but the blade wanders, optimally for the jigsaw is a 20-40mm cut, those reviews about 150mm for the Makita 4350 - the internal mechanism is the same, about it cutting smoothly... it's hard to believe. Connection to the vacuum cleaner - I'd rate it a three, the suction of sawdust is good, but the hose itself occasionally disconnects from the front part.
Shos Takeuse Makita 4351CTJ more than year
