A network plane with a power of 85 W, designed for planing flat surfaces, sampling quarters up to 25 mm deep and forming chamfers on the ends and edges of wooden workpieces. The tool has a planing width of 82 mm. The planing depth of the Makita KP0810K plane is adjusted in the range from zero to 4 mm using a rotary handle, which has a scale with a step of 0.1 mm and a clear fixation in each position.

The design of the drum allows the use of double-sided carbide knives (installed on the tool) or single-sided blades subject to resharpening, which are sold separately as accessories, as cutting equipment. The tool weighs 3.3 kg. The power cable is 2.5 m long. The plane comes complete with a dust bag (attached to the left or right chip discharge port), a parallel guide, a depth limiter for the rabbet, and a plastic case.
