A compact model from the so-called "pancakes" - oblate lenses with minimal body dimensions in length (29 mm in this particular case). The lens has a fixed focal length of 28mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8. A model is being produced for a whole horde of mirrorless cameras with cropped APS-C and Micro 4/3 image sensors. In a compact "pancake" they managed to place an optical scheme consisting of 6 elements in 5 groups.

Of course, there was no place for the autofocus drive, so you will have to focus in the old fashioned way - in manual (manual) mode. The focusing ring is placed closer to the front lens of the lens. However, the Meike 28mm f/2.8 was equipped with an aperture ring. It is allowed to install light filters with a diameter of 49 mm on the front frame of the fix. The model not only remains almost invisible on the camera, but also minimally burdens the burden of the photographer - the “pancake” weighs only a little more than 100 g.
