The Montech Century II power supply unit with a rated output of 850 W belongs to the mid-range segment, designed for modern gaming and workstation builds. The power reserve is sufficient for systems with high-performance graphics cards and multi-threaded processors, while the model stays out of the top price bracket and remains an accessible option for enthusiasts. Compliance with ATX 12V v3.1 ensures full compatibility with the latest components, including graphics adapters sensitive to power stability.

The main +12 V rail delivering 849 W allows the PSU to be used even in systems with power-hungry GPUs. Energy efficiency is confirmed by the 80 PLUS Gold certification and the Cybenetics Efficiency Platinum rating. Ventilation is handled by a 135 mm fan on a hydrodynamic bearing, known for reliability and long service life. At low load, the cooling system operates quietly, maintaining a comfortable acoustic profile.

The manufacturer paid special attention to exterior design. The bottom and two side panels are made of silver metal, while the rest of the housing is black. The fan grille has an original design: perforations are shaped like small triangles combined into a hexagonal pattern. This approach not only gives the device a recognizable look but also improves hot air exhaust. A fully modular cable system simplifies installation and helps keep a tidy interior. The protection set includes OVP, OPP, SCP, UVP, OCP, and OTP, ensuring safe operation in any usage scenario. The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty, emphasizing the reliability of the series.

A block with top-notch filling that won’t cost you a penny for its “Great” name.

I replaced this PSU with a Seasonic 650w Gold because my RX6800XT's power consumption spiked to 600-650w in milliseconds (mostly at the start of a game). The Seasonic would immediately shut down the PC as a protective measure when detecting such a powerful, sudden voltage spike. But this Montech is just a "gem." It handles these spikes effortlessly without any problem, and it also operates in complete silence. Considering its incredibly low price, it features 100% Japanese engineering (unlike the Pure Power 13M 850w, which costs over 165 EUR and partly uses Taiwanese capacitors with a threshold of 85°, whereas in this case, it's 105°), making it an absolute no-compromise choice!
Absolutely silent (135mm fan, passive mode up to 20% load), True power on all lines, 100% Japanese circuitry, Tested by Cybernetis for Platinum (for comparison, the nearest competitor awarded Platinum by this organization is be quiet! Power Zone 2, which costs approximately 355 EUR) Withstands millisecond load spikes up to 1700w, Fully modular PSU, Minimalist-Strict design, 10-year warranty.
It's impossible to buy the version with white cables. They could at least make the cables gray to match the PSU. But this drawback is purely for aesthetes. (Of course, you can buy them separately, but that's an additional cost)
