The Morphy Richards Intellisteam 470006 steam unit from the well-known British manufacturer of household electrical appliances can’t even dare to call it an ordinary double boiler. It is an advanced electronic device for preparing balanced and healthy food with built-in intelligence that justifies its high price. The model is made in a horizontal format, where a pair of food stainless steel baskets with a total volume of 6.8 liters is located next to each other. Due to the fact that one of the steam tanks is divided in half by a partition, and steam is supplied to both of its compartments independently, both baskets have 3 separate cooking zones, the temperature in which is maintained by a thermostat. A powerful heating system of 1600 W distributes the heat of the thermoelements to the cooking zones, which allows you to quickly achieve local steam supply without heating the entire volume of water. Baskets from above are closed by covers from the shock-resistant tempered glass. The appliance also comes with an additional rice bowl and 2 small containers for small portions of food, boiling a couple of eggs and making sauces. Steel, glass and plastic construction elements, with the exception of the heating block with electronics, can be easily washed in the dishwasher.

Synchronization of the completion of processes in all compartments

The electronic control panel with digital display and pushbutton switches allows you to fully control the settings and processes in all working compartments. The appliance has 8 pre-set autocooking programs, in which the steaming time corresponds to the properties of the cooked products. The settings buttons allow you to adjust the initial steaming time to your liking. Next to the display is a water level indicator labeled Min and Maximum The option of protection against boil-over notifies with a sound about the need to add water to the tank right during the working cycle. And if you ignore the signal, then the automation will turn off the heating after a while, preventing the device from running dry. The function of synchronizing the end of work cycles (Intellisteam button) in steam baskets allows you to get a set of several dishes at a given time. If desired, this option can be turned off and dishes can be prepared without reference to the serving time. By the way, it can also be changed by using the function of heating cooked food, which works up to 40 minutes.
