The rubber has a symmetrical directional tread pattern without pronounced circumferential drainage channels. The Nokian Snowproof 2 SUV 225/60 R17 99H water drainage system consists of diagonal grooves from the center to the shoulder areas, through which water, slush and melted snow are drained.

The model demonstrates effective transmission of traction and braking efforts, tenaciously holds onto slippery road surfaces thanks to a rubber compound with a high silica content and multiple 3D sipes in the tread blocks. Low rolling noise is achieved by adding a layer of acoustic foam to the inner tread layer (SilentDrive technology). Increased tread strength and sidewall reinforcement with aramid fibers help extend the tire's service life.
