Finnish tire makers from the Nokian company know how to make not only high-quality winter tires - the Nokian Wetproof SUV summer model is specially produced for small and medium-sized SUV cars.

Functional tread zones

The asymmetrical tire tread was created using Dual Zone Safety technology - in fact, it is divided into two functional zones. The outer part of the tread is surrounded by a stability zone, which is responsible for the vehicle's stability during maneuvering and provides responsive handling. On the inside of the tread there is a safety zone - it guarantees reliable grip on wet road surfaces and deals with drainage issues.

Highest rank wet clutch

Responsive Lock elements provide additional safety on wet roads. They support the center ribs of the tread while driving, allowing water to flow freely from the tire. Well, as a bonus, the model received a rubber compound with a high silica content. The wet clutch rating of the Nokian Waterproof SUV is the highest in its class and is designated by the index A.

Aramid fibers

The tire uses the Silent Groove principle of self-absorbing vibrations, supported by a soft and quiet ride. The tire also doesn’t mind bad roads and curbs - its sidewalls are reinforced with aramid fibers Aramid Sidewalls. The only thing the model lacks is a shorter braking distance on dry asphalt. However, this is the only minor flaw in the rubber, which certainly does not play a significant role.
