Why do smartphones start to slow down and what amount of RAM is now considered optimal?Let's explore the reasons for the slowdown and the optimal amount of RAM for smartphones

Unique retractable chamber design

The Chinese company Oppo loves to experiment with the form, their new Oppo F11 Pro smartphone with a retractable camera is another confirmation of this.

Why do you need tricks with a retractable camera? The fact is that with the advent of fashion for frameless smartphones, many users met with hostility the design with a notch cutout, which many adopted from the iPhone X. This decision turned out to be temporary, so manufacturers began to play with formats, try droplets, cutouts, hide the front protective glass camera, etc.

Leaves in a split second

In Oppo, they made the front camera retractable — it appears from the upper end like a submarine periscope. This is a very interesting solution that other companies have already used some time ago. Therefore, the front camera appears only when necessary, and the rest of the time it will be hidden in the case.

Truly borderless display

Thanks to this, the F11 Pro has a truly borderless 6.5-inch screen that takes up virtually the entire front space (90% of the area) and looks extremely attractive. The display resolution is 2340 by 1080 pixels, that is, FullHD+.

Sturdy and interesting mid-range smartphone

The main specs look good too, with a MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage (there's a 128GB version if it's low). Two years ago it would have been a top bunch, now it would be more appropriate to call it moderate. In general, its power is enough for the standard use of a smartphone, surfing the net and running games. Add here a capacious battery with support for VOOC Flash Charge 3.0, a fingerprint scanner and 2 slots for SIM cards, and you get a solid and interesting mid-range smartphone.

Without USB-C

Perhaps the main controversial point on this list is the MicroUSB port, instead of the modern USB-C. In the current realities, this looks at least strange, USB-C has long moved from the category of luxury and is now found in every second smartphone for $200. But there was a full-fledged 3.5 headphone output.

Back cover as a work of art

Among other features of the smartphone, we highlight a nice back cover with a gradient colour and high battery life. Battery life is to be commended for the ultra-high power efficiency software option, which closes some background apps, disables automatic data sync with vibration, and dims the screen. In this mode, F11 Pro can last up to 3 days on a single charge.
