Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 64 GB / 4 GB

One of the most tidbits in the mid-low-cost arena with a decent margin of gaming performance, a juicy large screen and serious ambitions in the mobile photography genre. The high-speed "flight" of the smartphone is provided by the powerful Snapdragon 720G chipset, which handles the lion's share of "heavy" applications and modern games at medium-high graphics settings. The amount of memory in the on-board equipment of the model was distributed in the ratio of 4 GB of RAM against 64 GB of ROM.
Moreover, there is an expansion slot, separated from the "seats" for two SIM-cards. In a separate line, mobile gamers will appreciate the presence of a 3.5 mm audio jack. The screen of Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 64GB is stretched diagonally by 6.67" and shows a picture at a maximum resolution of 2400x1080 pixels (taking into account the aspect ratio of 20:9). The smartphone takes photos with a quad camera from the rear (48 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP) and a 16 MP front camera with a face authentication function. An alternative way to unlock a mobile gadget offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. To complete the picture, the smartphone lacks perhaps an NFC. But the infrared port, as an integral attribute of Xiaomi mobile phones, is here in its proper place. The internal components of the device are powered by a capacious 5020 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging function.
New people's favorite?
Meet Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, also known as Redmi Note 9 Pro in India, a new contender for the title of popular smartphone with a price tag of up to $250. Externally, the global version of Redmi Note 9 Pro is no different from the older model Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, and the technical differences mainly rest on the camera: Redmi Note 9S has a 48 MP Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor instead of 64 MP, and the resolution of the front camera has been cut down exactly widow, up to 16 MP. By the standards of its class, the camera looks very good. If we talk about daytime shooting, then it is right up close to the flagships of three or four years ago. For a pipe for 200 evergreens, this is a cool result.
Margin of safety
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor is responsible for the performance of the novelty, which operates at a maximum frequency of 2.3 GHz. The amount of RAM is 4 and the amount of storage is 64GB. Given the support for microSD cards, there should be no problems with quickly filling up the memory. When compared with competitors, the filling is very performant and is unlikely to lag somewhere. It's bad that the processor heats up noticeably in difficult tests like synthetic tests or games.
real phablet
The IPS-screen with a diagonal of 6.67" has a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and sports a small hole for the front camera right in the centre. The display shows a clear, moderately colorful image. The calibration is adequate, the contrast is moderately high, only a small margin of brightness is missing, so the colours will fade under a very bright sun. At the same time, like all phablets (if you can still call them that), Redmi Note 9S suffers from a mild form of gigantism, which, judging by the comments on the network, does not suit all buyers. This is only partly true, because now every second smartphone has a length of about 16 cm, so the extra millimetres back and forth do not make much difference. It still won't work with one hand.
5020 mAh battery with fast charging
Otherwise, Note 9S gives exactly what you expect from a good low-cost smartphone: modern communication modules, a USB C port, but with a separate headphone output, fast charging and a capacious 5020 mAh battery. It stands out here except perhaps not quite an ordinary fingerprint scanner, which fit in the side button. To complete the picture, the smartphone lacks only an NFC chip, which Xiaomi regularly ignores. But the infrared port, as an integral attribute of Xiaomi mobile phones, is here in the right place.
