The mid-range headlamp from the Petzl brand is positioned as a hybrid solution. The model comes with a CORE rechargeable battery with a capacity of 1250 mAh and a lifespan of at least 300 charging cycles, but it can also be powered by 3 AAA batteries (or AAA rechargeable batteries), which expands its usability and extends its autonomy. By default, the Petzl Tikka Core headlamp will operate from 2 to 110 hours on a single charge from the included battery, depending on the brightness setting.

The light source consists of quality LEDs: white and red, with the latter offering additional modes such as strobe and continuous lighting. The maximum light output reaches 450 lumens (with 3 brightness levels available), and the beam distance is up to 75 meters. The headlamp is controlled with a single button. The plastic housing is resistant to weather conditions, with waterproofing claimed to meet the IPX4 standard.
