Ergonomics thought out to the smallest detail
The Philips 288P6LJEB 4K monitor has a screen size of 28" (71 cm) and is based on a TN + Film matrix.
The model received a practical design and stand SmartErgoBase, which allows you to adjust the tilt, height, rotation angles of the display, as well as rotate the screen to portrait orientation. The last option will be useful for working with documentation, graphics, programme code.
Wall mounting with VESA mount is also possible.
Wide communication possibilities
To connect to a PC, an extensive set of ports is provided: DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort 1.2 and VGA. If necessary, you can use the display with mobile devices, as MHL support is implemented.
On the back of the case is a USB hub with four receiving connectors (including a pair of USB 3.0). The monitor is also equipped with two built-in 3 W speakers with acceptable sound quality.
Philips 288P6LJEB allows you to simultaneously work in two windows and/or display images from two signal sources at once.
Impeccable clarity and colour reproduction
High-quality factory calibration of the display image will please those who prefer to simply turn on and use the device without additional settings. And for everyone else, a convenient menu is provided, as well as special SmartControl Premium software.
The main advantage of the picture in addition to high resolution is the accuracy and realism of colour reproduction. And although the model is inferior to monitors for design in terms of colour depth and colour gamut, the overall impression of the image is up to par.
Correspond to the claimed or close to reality, the real indicators of brightness and contrast, which in this display are practically not inferior to the capabilities of modern IPS models. But there is a traditional minus of TN + Film matrices — not perfect viewing angles (160 vertically and 170 horizontally).
The monitor has a high response speed (1ms in SmartResponse mode), but the image output delay does not allow us to consider the model the best solution for games, especially shooters. In this aspect, the model is significantly inferior to its competitor Asus PB287Q. But thanks to its affordability, ergonomics and excellent colour reproduction for office tasks and watching movies, the Philips 288P6LJEB fits perfectly.
