Model overview based on user reviews
The Philips 221V8A 22" monitor is highly praised for its affordability and features. Users appreciate the 75 Hz refresh rate and excellent color reproduction, which are impressive for its price range. The monitor's design includes thin bezels on three sides, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. It offers a bright and vivid image with wide viewing angles and even backlighting, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience without flicker. The built-in speakers, while a nice addition, are considered average. The monitor comes with an HDMI cable, and its assembly is straightforward. Some users noted minor inconveniences, such as the adjustment buttons and the highlighted Philips logo, but overall, it is deemed a reliable and stable option for both work and entertainment.

in terms of image quality, it is roughly on par with LG or another competitor with an IPS matrix at this price (you'll understand this yourself by comparing the specifications). Philips is even more expensive, and I wouldn't pay an extra 1k for built-in speakers or a headphone jack. Otherwise, it's a decent monitor for the price. Everything worked straight out of the box, no need to install drivers, and I was pleased to find an HDMI cable included. There were no backlight issues or dead pixels. Assembly with the stand is very easy. thin bezels on 3 sides, eye-pleasing image, quite convenient settings menu. Built-in power supply, HDMI cable included. the built-in speakers are so-so... the adjustment buttons at the bottom are not very convenient. Why highlight the Philips logo with a wave so it constantly catches the eye or is it just me being paranoid?) The translation in the menu has some flaws. |
For my money, the option is not bad, I bought it 2 weeks ago, the image is bright and juicy, the backlight is uniform and my eyes do not get tired, there is no flicker, there is no graininess, stable, narrow frames around the screen. Picture. Assembly, design. No problem Yes, so far everything is not bad, I am satisfied with the purchase |
Cool, I like it - there is a cool image, there is enough brightness, contrast. the backlight is even and without any spots, the image is bright and juicy, the viewing angles are wide, everything really looks clear. Picture, assembly, stable Yes, no problem |
