The American brand Polk Audio has been creating thoughtful solutions for lovers of high-quality sound for almost 50 years. In 2013, the company introduced its vision of built-in ceiling acoustics — the RC60i system, which quickly gained recognition among consumers.

The system turned out to be quite compact (230 mm in diameter) and does not require a large installation depth (60 mm). Perfect Fit templates and the patented Rotating Cam fixing system make it easy and high-quality to install speakers so that they do not create vibrations when sounding. The materials used to make the loudspeakers allow for extended use in damp environments, and the paintable grille makes the RC60i an almost perfect addition to any interior.

Experienced Polk Audio developers have approached wisely not only the form of the system, but also the design. She uses wall or ceiling space to enhance the sound. As a result, the bass sounds richer than other brands, and the transition to the mids is felt as comfortable as possible. For the absence of resonances of the 19 mm tweeter and 165 mm woofer, the company's Dynamic Balance technology and a special butyl rubber woofer suspension are responsible.

Together, this creates a precise dynamic sound across the entire operating range of 40-20,000 Hz and ensures perfect timbre matching with other Polk audio systems. Spring-loaded gold-plated terminals are used for reliable connection to an amplifier with a power of up to 100 W.

Of course, such high performance could not but affect the cost. For a pair of RC60i you will have to pay about $250. And although it is 20 – 30% more expensive than its Yamaha or Magnat counterparts, it is unlikely to stop fans of good American sound.
