Royal Canin Veterinary Dog - Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie - 12kg

General information: Please seek your vet's advice before using this food or extending the feeding period. When feeding your... moredog with a veterinary diet you should consult your vet regularly for check-ups. If your dog's health deteriorates please seek veterinary advice immediately. Royal Canin Veterinary - Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie has been especially developed for dogs that have a tendency to put on weight or who are already overweight. Its adapted energy content can help your dog to maintain a healthy weight. Urinary tract infections are unfortunately common in dogs, and they can cause urinary stones, such as struvite and calcium oxalate stones, to form. This dietetic food has been carefully designed to help dissolve urinary stones and prevent their re-occurrence and it can also support the treatment of bacterial bladder infections. This dry dog food helps to prevent bladder stones in two ways. Firstly, increasing the volume of urine makes it more dilute, while the food also helps to lower the RSS (relative supersaturation) value of the urine. This in turn reduces the level of ions linked to the production of urine crystals. Recommended for (indications): Dissolving struvite crystals/ stones Bacterial bladder infections Prevention of calcium oxalate stones Prevention of struvite stones Not recommended for (contraindications): Chronic renal insufficiency, metabolic acidosis Cardiac insufficiency Hyperlipidemia Pancreatitis Parallel treatment with drugs that increase urine acidity Lactating bitches, pregnant bitches or puppies Key benefits: Dissolving struvite stones: The recipe has been designed to help to effectively dissolve struvite stones. Moderate Energy: Adapted energy content to help dogs to maintain a healthy weight – especially for dogs that are already overweight or in danger of excess weight gain. Diluting urine: Increased urine volume to prevent formation of struvite and calcium oxalate stones. Low RSS value: Helps to reduce the level of ions that form struvite and oxalate crystals in the urine. Further information: You should make sure to feed Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie exclusively whilst your dog is affected by urinary illness, to ensure the best efficacy. Duration of treatment: 5 to 12 weeks or until the urinary crystals have dissolved. In cases of bladder infection you should continue using this food for at least 1 month after first diagnosis. To avoid danger of re-infection, you should feed your dog a food with the S/O index even after recovery.

General information: Please seek your vet's advice before using this food or extending the feeding period. When feeding your... moredog with a veterinary diet you should consult your vet regularly for check-ups. If your dog's health deteriorates please seek veterinary advice immediately. Dogs have a tendency to suffer from urinary tract infections which can lead to the formation of urinary stones (including struvite and calcium oxalate stones). Royal Canin Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is a dietetic dry kibble that has been especially developed for dogs that tend towards being overweight. This dry food can be fed to dogs suffering from bladder infections and urinary stones and can help to dissolve already existing struvite stones and crystals. It also helps to prevent the re-occurrence of urinary stones and in the treatment of bacterial bladder infections. The adapted energy content can help dogs that are overweight or in danger of becoming overweight to maintain a healthy weight. The dry kibble is formulated to increase the volume of urine, which in turn has a preventative effect on urinary stones and crystals. It also helps to give the urine a lower relative supersaturation (RSS) value, which reduces the level of ions that produce urine crystals in the urine. Recommended for (indications): Dissolving struvite crystals/ stones Bacterial bladder infections Prevention of calcium oxalate stones Prevention of struvite stones Not recommended for (contraindications): Chronic renal insufficiency, metabolic acidosis Cardiac insufficiency Hyperlipidemia Pancreatitis Parallel treatment with drugs that increase urine acidity Lactating bitches, pregnant bitches or puppies Key benefits: Dissolving struvite stones: The recipe has been designed to help to effectively dissolve struvite stones.
