We are completely satisfied with the TV, only good emotions from its use, we are not disappointed in the purchase. Watching movies on this TV is a pleasure, the image is bright, very juicy. The sound is voluminous, loud, clear - in one word GOOD. Special thanks for the game mode, since we have a PS4, the difference is noticeable. I also liked the wireless screen function and TV control from a smartphone. Excellent and modern TV. A bright and contrasting picture, bluetooth, a remote control with voice dialing and control, the sound is of course the most common, but even relatively inexpensive computer speakers with a subwoofer and a bluetooth connection sound better than almost any regular sound in TVs. We gave ourselves such a TV for the New Year) Honestly. I bought more for my wife, but I’m glad I did, because I like to watch movies, especially in high definition. Therefore, I took over the selection function. I really like the matrix and how the black color is displayed. Deep, without overexposure at the edges, bright pixels do not transfer their light to dark areas - super! The image is not as rich as that of skis or dormouse, but it is more cinematic. There is a super duper HDR mode, the picture is oversaturated, but I returned it to stock because it eats away at my eyes. No sub! I made a mistake and didn’t pay attention. Not critical, but Sonya had it! We hung it on the wall, but if someone wants to put it on a shelf, be careful, because the frames are very wide. The kit came with an awesome remote control, and it was universal with binding for different devices. I tried it on the console, it works. The interface is very fast, instant, faster than on my phone. This was the final advantage. True, it’s not Android, but its own OS, but it has all the necessary applications. There are no questions about brightness either, but! During the day I sometimes want more. Excellent matrix with deep black color and uniform illumination. Thin frames. High quality picture
The image on the Samsung UE-65RU8000 is characterized by a high level of detail and excellent contrast (even despite the lack of local dimming). Deep blacks will give you a pleasant experience when watching movies with minimal lighting in the room. Other colours are also distinguished by a good level of uniformity, which will please not only moviegoers, but also fans of sports broadcasts. However it must be borne in mind that the viewing angles of the display are small, so even with a slight deviation from the centre of the screen, the picture becomes dull and blurry.
Additional pleasant emotions will be presented to the viewer by playing HDR content (two standards are supported — HDR 10+ and HLG). Since the peak brightness of the TV is moderate, you should not count on the maximum “wow” effect from viewing the corresponding content.
By the way, the immediate predecessor — Samsung UE-65NU8000 — is slightly brighter, but also more expensive.
Everything for games
The matrix of the model has a refresh rate of 120 Hz (with a software increase of up to 2500 fps), so that dynamic scenes look smooth and without jerks. This aspect is important, both when watching action movies and in the gameplay. Gamers are offered a separate mode with FreeSync support, which is responsible for the excellent synchronization of the video sequence when using a PC with AMD video cards. And an additional advantage for fans of games will be a low input lag (input lag) of up to 15 ms.

The Samsung UE-65RU8000 is paired with the proprietary Tizen OS, a fast, intuitive and app-rich Smart Shell. In addition to it, a convenient remote control is offered with both Bixby's proprietary voice assistant and other popular services such as Alexa and Google Assistant. AirPlay 2 technology is implemented to broadcast content from "apple" devices and convenient playback control.
The model received a standard 20-watt audio system format 2.0. Slightly disappointing is the lack of support for the DTS audio codec, which will cause the corresponding content to be played without sound.
