A versatile and lightweight USB flash drive of impressive capacity (256 GB) with an original design that includes two popular USB 3.2 Gen1 connectors at once: traditional Type-A and more modern reversible Type-C. To use any of these connectors, just move the slider in the desired direction. Thanks to this design, the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C 256Gb drive can connect to any PC, laptop and Ultrabook, including all Apple MacBook models.
It is also possible to connect directly to tablets and smartphones that are equipped with a Type-C connector and support OTG. With quality flash memory and a controller, the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C 256Gb delivers decent sequential read/write speeds (up to 150/60 MB/s), allowing you to quickly move files between PC, tablet, smartphone, and laptop without organization network connections.
Transferring one 4 GB file from such a flash drive to a computer or laptop takes less than 35 seconds, and a dozen or two photos are copied almost instantly. The moderate overall dimensions of the plastic case and light weight allow the drive to be carried in any pocket. SanDisk Memory Zone Software for Android lets you back up important data or move files from your smartphone to a storage drive to free up space.

Got a 128 GB one. Not big, looks nice, actual capacity is 114 GB with a little extra... Out of the box, it's FAT32. On Win10: read speed is 27 MB/s, write speed is 17 MB/s (no heat at all during use). After formatting to NTFS - reading at 125 MB/s, writing at 65 MB/s (+/- 5 MB/s). It started to heat up noticeably... roughly 60-65 degrees... almost scorching to touch. USB-C didn't work with Samsung Galaxy S8, and USB 3.0 through an OTG cable didn't work with Meizu M6 Note (to be precise, the connection was detected, but the device wasn't recognized as a storage and nothing could be copied to it - it gives an error. You can't write from the flash drive either - since it shows an empty folder, even though there were files there... photos/videos). I'm asking if anyone else has experienced this, or if it's defective... or if the flash drive needs to be integrated into mobile devices in a special way... by formatting, or some smoke ritual, or rhythmic drumming. OTG doesn't work with either FAT32 or NTFS. Any thoughts on this? Small, versatile, cute Unreliable locking system - in an undeveloped USB2.0/3.0 slot, it won't fit... it slips off the latch - you need to hold it by the little bump, which bends a lot and won't last long. Not compatible with phones (the notorious OTG is not supported). use SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C 16Gb less than month |
I bought it specifically to free up space on my phone. The phone recognizes it immediately. I bought 2 flash drives (one 64 GB and the other 128 GB). The one with 64 GB sometimes might disconnect from the phone. Convenience, connectors are hidden inside the case, compactness. It gets hot, they could have also included a cord (for a flash drive) in the kit. |

Connects to phones without any problems, as well as to a laptop and a TV.
I have 128GB.
