The Slovenian brand Sava has almost a century of experience in the automotive rubber industry. Since 1998, the rights to the trademark have been owned by the American corporation Goodyear. Having gained access to the high technologies of the parent company, the Slovenian tyre manufacturers have significantly increased the level of their products.

Second generation

In 2017, under the brand name Sava, the Eskimo SUV 2 tyre stepped onto the roads. It is addressed to owners of urban crossovers and SUVs with a high centre of gravity. Changes in comparison with the first generation of the model (Sava Eskimo SUV) are evident here: the tyre has acquired a zigzag medial rib with V-shaped notches and a more extensive network of water evacuation channels. As a result, the tyre has better grip on slippery roads, exhibits a higher level of directional stability and removes water along with melted snow from the contact patch faster, which reduces the risk of hydroplaning and slashplaning.

Powerful shoulders

The shoulder areas of the tyre's tread pattern are adapted to the heavy weight of off-road vehicles. Powerful shoulder blocks affect the increase in traction in loose snow and the stability of the car on the road when making dashing turns. But remember that it is not worth abusing excessively active manoeuvring in winter conditions, since when you get into an icy area, the risk of skidding increases many times. And even “clawed” rubber is not always able to save the situation, let alone Hook-and-loop.
