There is also a micro-ratchet Chinstrap which is patented by Shoei and made from 100% Stainless Steel with an interlocking mechanism. This strap allows for quick and smooth closure / opening, is comfortable and easily adjustable.For rider comfort, the Helmet has a 3D max-dry interior system which is fully removable, washable, replaceable, and adjustable. The exclusive 3D Max-Dry material absorbs and dissipates sweat twice as fast as traditional Nylon, and is shaped to match the contours of the rider's head. The lining has multi-layer Cheek pads for comfort and helmet stabilisation, and premium synthetic Leather has been included along the lower edge of the Cheek pads for durability and style.The J-Cruise has spent valuable time in the in-house wind tunnel at Shoei to gain significant improvements in ventilation performance. An extra intake hole has been added to the upper air ventilation system which increased the air volume entering the helmet by approximately 30%.
