Italian design in the style of the 50s
The snow-white Smeg ECF01WHEU espresso machine stands out for its extraordinary appearance, evoking nostalgia for a time when individuality of forms mattered. In this device, the author's design concept, combining exquisite Italian aesthetics and modern technology, is subject to both the internal layout of the machine and all the equipment of the device. The model is made in the bright style of the 50s and is distinguished by many colour modifications, in which other manufacturers are unlikely to be able to compete with it. The shiny plastic case and the abundance of polished metal accurately reproduce the spirit of the technology of the middle of the last century, when manufacturers did not skimp on a thick layer of chrome plating. However, even taking into account the fact that the device belongs to the elite expensive products, here all the metal of the structure is ordinary stainless steel.
Thermoblock heating system
The coffee machine is equipped with a 1350 W Thermoblock system that quickly heats the water in the tank and a powerful pump with a maximum pressure of 15 bar. On the lid of the coffee maker there is a figured mesh for warming cups, on the right there is a manual cappuccinatore nozzle and a rotary lever for adjusting the steam supply. At the back there is a plastic water tank with a volume of 1 liter, the filling of which is clearly visible through the transparent walls. As an additional option, a water softener filter can be included in the package. The cups are placed on a removable stand, under which there is a float indicator for filling the drip tray. The holder is equipped with 3 steel filters for pressing ground coffee (single and double) and stacking the portion pod.
Customizable standby
Above the front inscription with the brand name there are 3 buttons for controlling the operation of the machine: preparation of one or two cups of espresso, as well as steam supply. The control buttons have additional settings, implemented by the indicator illumination of various functions. With their help, you can change the temperature and water hardness settings (3 levels each), as well as receive a light signal about the need to descale the device. In addition, the adjustable sleep function allows you to set 3 idle time settings using the buttons: 9 , 30 and 180 minutes.
