Powerful, advanced and highly scalable enterprise-class NAS storage designed for small and medium businesses and professional users who require high capacity and reliable data protection. The server has 8 drive bays, expandable to 18 bays using DX517 expansion units, allowing you to store up to 128 TB of data. Hot-swappable drives are supported to minimize downtime. The model supports 3.5" drives with SATA 2 and SATA 3 interfaces, and is also equipped with two M.2 slots for installing SSD cache.
The RAID configuration has wide storage options, including RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, JBOD, SHR and Basic. Synology DiskStation DS1821+ is equipped with four Gigabit LAN ports, allowing you to set up channel aggregation and increase the overall network throughput. Additionally, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available for connecting external devices and two eSATA ports for connecting expansion modules and additional drives. The built-in quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor with a frequency of 2.2 GHz is supported by 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, expandable up to 32 GB. The proprietary DSM OS includes an extensive set of server functions: from a web and FTP server to a multimedia (DLNA, iTunes, uPnP), mail server and video surveillance system with support for up to 40 IP channels.
