A NAS server from the 2023 DiskStation series with advanced tools for storing, sharing, and backing up data, as well as synchronization between different devices from Synology. It is positioned by the manufacturer as an advanced solution for home or commercial use. The model is equipped with an Intel Celeron J4125 processor, 4 slots for classic 3.5” drives and two slots for NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs.
External connection of Synology DiskStation DS423+ is provided by two gigabit LAN ports and two USB 3.2 gen1 ports. The built-in OS with the Btrfs file system protects data from corruption using snapshot technology. The additional Hybrid Share service provides the ability to efficiently store “cold” data in the cloud. The Active Backup Suite function allows you to consolidate and automate backup tasks for PCs, file servers, virtual machines, SaaS applications, and more. It can also be used as a video surveillance server with the ability to record data both to a local system and to the cloud. The manufacturer claims support for 8,300 different IP camera models.
