Synology DiskStation DS224+ — a compact NAS server for local environments, providing high performance and energy efficiency, consuming only 15W under full load, allowing for significant reductions in operational costs. Featuring a quad-core Intel Celeron J4125 processor and 2GB of RAM, the device outperforms previous entry-level models in file indexing speed, image processing, and running demanding web applications, making it positioned by the manufacturer as an optimal solution for small offices and home users with enhanced storage, replication, and backup needs.
Equipped with two 3.5-inch drive bays, DS224+ supports RAID 0, RAID 1, Synology Hybrid RAID, JBOD, and Basic configurations, providing users with flexibility in choosing the optimal disk setup. Two gigabit LAN ports ensure stable network connectivity and the possibility of link aggregation to increase bandwidth. A pair of USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports expands connectivity options for external devices, including hard drives, portable SSDs, and flash drives.
