Model overview based on user reviews
The Yamaha A-S1100 is an integrated amplifier that impresses with its vintage appearance and pleasant sound quality, especially on high-quality discs. Users appreciate its soft sound without sharp highs, making it enjoyable to listen to. However, some users have noted that it may not perform well with all discs, as certain CDs, including SACDs, sound dull compared to previous models like the Yamaha 397th. Despite this, the amplifier is praised for its decent sound and is recommended for those who appreciate both audio and visual aesthetics. The device's design and performance offer a satisfying experience, although it may require careful selection of compatible media to fully enjoy its capabilities.
Pros
Cons
Watching and listening to it, I get audio-visual pleasure from owning it) Before this, there were only multichannel receivers, now a stereo amplifier. The appearance is awesome for vintage lovers. It sounds very decent! no |
I bought it, coveting the class of the device and design. Impressions are ambiguous: in comparison with the 397th Yamaha, the sound is softer, without sharp highs, it is pleasant to listen to. But it plays a couple of my discs terribly (I have all licensed CDs), including SACD, from which the old budget Yamaha squeezed so much realism to the point of goosebumps. On the new amplifier, everything is somehow dull, faded, as if on some kind of music center. What's the matter, I don't know. Apparently, they say the truth that having bought top-end equipment, you will throw away half of the collection ... With the previous amplifier, everything was more predictable, its excessive brightness was corrected by the settings, and the sound pleased. Here, every time, a lottery. Appearance, pleasant sound on good disks. Some disks from your collection "won't play." use Yamaha A-S1100 week |
