We increase efficiency
Zalman ZM600-TX is an inexpensive power supply with a solid power of 600 W, and even with an 80 PLUS energy efficiency certificate. This certificate means that the efficiency of the PSU is at least 80 percent, regardless of the load: idle, half or full. That is, the lion's share of electricity turns into useful work (powering PC components) and only a small part into useless heat.
under protection
On the main +12 V line, the ZM600-TX is capable of delivering up to 48 A of current, which equals 576 W, that is, almost one hundred percent of the claimed total PSU power. In turn, the current strength of the +5 and +3.3 V lines is 20 A each. All kinds of electrical protection are implemented: from overvoltage (OVP) or undervoltage (UVP), short circuit (SCP), overpower (OPP) or current per channel (OCP).
Reach for the sky
The ZM600-TX cables, although not removable (not modular), are very long. So, the length of the most problematic 4 + 4-pin processor power wire for hidden installation is as much as 65 cm (most PSUs in this price category usually do not exceed 55 cm). In addition, the wires are made in the form of a flat "noodle", which further contributes to neat cable management. There are two 6 + 2-pin graphics card power connectors.
More than promised
The ZM600-TX is cooled by a large 14 cm fan made of transparent plastic to better see its blue backlight. With a small load on the PSU, the propeller rotates at 750 rpm, which is almost indistinguishable by ear, with a half load, at a still moderate 1200 rpm, and only at maximum load it accelerates to 1500 rpm. By the way, Zalman ZM600-TX is capable of short-term operation in peak load mode up to 770 watts. This is almost a third more than the face value and indicates the high reliability of the PSU component base.
