The Pentax XW23 Eyepiece has been develped for users who want to enjoy star observing with very wide FOV, which makes possible to observe astronomical objects more impressively. This has the largest field of view in the XW series at 85°. In combination with an eye relief of 20 mm, they provide a particularly wide field of view for exciting observation of nebulae and star clusters.

Constructed with high-refraction, low-dispersion, multi-coated lanthanum glass optics, the Pentax SMC 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece fits all Pentax spotting scopes for terrestrial viewing, and can also be used with telescopes with 1.25 focusers. It offers generous 18-22mm eye relief for comfortable viewing and an apparent angle of view as wide as 60°.
