The large cutout on the back of the body allows the instrument to rest comfortably on you while standing or sitting, making the P5 a practical stage or studio instrument. Many top instruments are equipped with burnt maple necks, but Sire has managed to fit this component into the affordable P5 model, which provides not only a truly premium look but also incredible tuning stability. The C-shaped neck profile gives bassists a comfortable feel, while the rolled edges of the fingerboard improve playability and ensure an extremely smooth playing experience. The patented split-coil pickup "Marcus Vintage-Precision Revolution" gives the P5 a strong, rounded sound character - it captures the legendary P-bass sound. Smooth and balanced, this surprisingly flexible pickup is suitable for all playing styles, but stands out most when it's loud.
