The Festool SZ-D 12.0 Collet (FES494462) is designed to accept router cutters with a 12mm shank diameter, making it well suited for large-diameter cutters used in demanding routing operations such as deep grooving, large rebates, and heavy profiling work. Supplied as a complete unit with the union nut, it is ready to fit immediately to the Festool OF 1400 or OF 2200 router. The closed housing of the union nut creates a dustproof seal around the clamping mechanism, protecting it from debris during intensive use. Fitting and removal require only a standard 24mm open-ended spanner.
