Adding to its portability the Zoom R12 can be run on 4 x AA batteries with a battery life of up to five hours - perfect for musicians on the move. For longer sessions the R12 can also be run via a power adapter (AD-17 power supply included) or via a USB battery. The recorder also features USB/SD card connectivity so you can import your own custom audio samples. In addition to the preamps the R12 also features Hi-Z connectivity so you can plug your guitar directly into the recorder. You can also monitor your sound using the stereo headphone jack or the dedicated 1/4-inch monitor outputs.
