The plastic, developed and patented by the Italian manufacturer Slamp itself, is a combination of technopolymers and glass crystals that are extremely flexible and completely unbreakable. The material has excellent thermal, electrical and chemical properties and proves to be particularly durable, while the textured surface ensures attractive light diffusion all around. The individual components refract the light and direct it in a specific direction depending on its orientation. Even when switched off, the pendant light creates a feel-good atmosphere with the lightness of a Wolke, meaning that it can be used in many rooms and perfectly complements modern furnishing styles. The lampshade in white is harmoniously complemented by a cable that connects it to the discreet round canopy on the ceiling. Thanks to the practical magnetic system, the lampshade can be quickly and easily removed from the suspension system for cleaning. Slamp was founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani and is based in Rom. Sustainability is a high priority for the designer light manufacturer, which is reflected in the in-house development of durable materials. This reduces environmental costs by a factor of four. Since 2020, the residues from processing have not only been recycled, but also donated to companies that produce nesting boxes for bumblebees. In addition, the components of the lights are produced by cold cutting, which produces no CO2 emissions.
